📖 2 Corinthians 5:17
Today we celebrate the reality that you have passed from death to life. You are a new creation in Christ Jesus — old things have passed away and all things have become new. This is not a self-improvement project; it is a divine recreation.
✦ Revelation in Christ
In the Old Testament, circumcision of the flesh was the sign of the covenant (Genesis 17). In Christ, it is the circumcision of the heart — a cutting away of the old nature by the Spirit (Colossians 2:11). The Passover lamb (Exodus 12) was a shadow of Christ our Passover sacrificed for us (1 Corinthians 5:7). You did not merely turn over a new leaf; you received a new heart, a new spirit, and a new nature.

Father, thank You for making me a new creation. Help me to see myself the way You see me — righteous, beloved, and alive in Christ. Amen.

📖 Matthew 6:9-13
Prayer is not a religious ritual but a relationship. Jesus taught us to address God as 'Our Father' — a title of intimacy and belonging. Prayer is simply communing with the One who loves you most.
✦ Revelation in Christ
In the Old Testament, only the high priest could enter the Holy of Holies once a year with blood (Hebrews 9:7). The veil separated the people from God's presence. When Jesus died, the veil of the temple was torn in two from top to bottom (Matthew 27:51) — signifying that through His flesh, a new and living way was opened for all believers to come boldly to the throne of grace (Hebrews 10:19-20). You now have direct access to the Father at all times.

Father, teach me to pray. I bring my day before You — my joys, my fears, my needs. Thank You that I can come boldly because of Jesus. Amen.

Feeding on the Word of God
📖 Matthew 4:4
The Bible is not merely a book to read; it is bread to eat. Jesus said man shall not live by bread alone but by every word proceeding from God's mouth. The Word is your daily sustenance.
✦ Revelation in Christ
In the wilderness, God fed Israel with manna — bread from heaven (Exodus 16). Jesus declared Himself the true bread from heaven (John 6:32-35). The written Word testifies of the living Word (John 5:39). Every page — Old and New Testament — points to Him. As you read, ask the Spirit to unveil Christ in every passage, for the Scriptures are they which testify of Him.

Holy Spirit, open my eyes to see Jesus in the Scriptures. Feed my soul with Your Word today. Amen.
Understanding Grace
The unmerited favor of God
📖 Ephesians 2:8-9
Grace is God's unmerited favor — His goodness poured out on those who could never earn it. You are saved by grace through faith, not of works, lest anyone should boast. Grace is not a license to sin; it is the power to live holy.
✦ Revelation in Christ
In the Old Testament, the law was given through Moses (John 1:17) — a system of do's and don'ts that could reveal sin but could not remove it (Hebrews 10:4). Grace and truth came through Jesus Christ. The sacrifices of bulls and goats were shadows; the one sacrifice of Christ's body once for all is the substance (Hebrews 10:10). You are not under law but under grace (Romans 6:14).

Father, thank You for Your grace. I receive it afresh today. Help me to live by Your power, not my own effort. Amen.
Water Baptism
Buried and raised with Christ
📖 Romans 6:3-4
Water baptism is a beautiful outward sign of an inward reality. You are identifying with the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus. The old you is buried; the new you rises to walk in newness of life.
✦ Revelation in Christ
The crossing of the Red Sea (Exodus 14) was a shadow of baptism — Israel passed through the waters and the old bondage of Egypt was buried, while they emerged as a free people. Paul explicitly calls this baptism (1 Corinthians 10:1-2). Noah's ark passing through the flood waters (1 Peter 3:20-21) likewise prefigures baptism. In Christ, you have passed from the old world into a new creation.

Lord Jesus, I identify with Your death, burial, and resurrection. I am dead to sin and alive to God in Christ Jesus. Amen.
The Lord's Supper
Remembering the finished work
📖 1 Corinthians 11:23-26
Communion is a remembrance and a proclamation. As often as you eat the bread and drink the cup, you declare the Lord's death until He comes. It is a celebration of the new covenant sealed in His blood.
✦ Revelation in Christ
The Passover meal (Exodus 12) was the shadow — a lamb slain, blood applied, and deliverance from bondage. Jesus, at the last Passover, instituted the Lord's Supper as the substance: 'This is My body... this is My blood of the new covenant' (Matthew 26:26-28). He is the true Lamb of God (John 1:29). Every communion points back to the cross and forward to His return.

Father, thank You for the body and blood of Jesus. I partake by faith and proclaim Your death until You come. Amen.

📖 Hebrews 10:24-25
You were not saved to be alone. God has placed you in a family of believers to encourage, pray for, and grow with you. Finding a local church and connecting with other believers is essential for your spiritual health.
✦ Revelation in Christ
In the Old Testament, God's people were gathered as a nation — the congregation of Israel. In the New, the church is the body of Christ (1 Corinthians 12:27), a spiritual house built of living stones (1 Peter 2:5). The tabernacle in the wilderness was a shadow of the dwelling place of God — now we, together, are the temple of the Holy Spirit (Ephesians 2:21-22). You are a vital member of His body.
